Huzzah, the lovely Nicky at Mum’s Army has nominated me for the Liebster Award! Basically, the Liebster is an online and current version of a chain letter, or those emails people used to send with questions like ‘what’s on your mouse mat?’ and ‘who did you last text?’ Questions that would make millennials vom in their quinoa and ruin their daily Instagram brunch post.

In a nutshell, the premise is that bloggers nominate each other in an attempt to stop collaborate and listen – and to help raise each other’s profiles. I’m all for sharing the love. So I will gracefully thank Nicky for thinking of me and duly answer the questions contained in her nomination. I am nothing if not a procrastinator and egocentric. 😉

  1. What made you start blogging?
To keep sane in a world of Paw Patrol and phonics, and to become a better writer. Yup, I am that cliche. I’m going to write a book. Two books. ALL THE BOOKS!
  2. If you could be invisible for a day what would you do?
Go to the White House, steam up all the mirrors and write ‘Get Out You Twat.’ Preferably before POTUS gets in the shower as no one wants to see that shit. His neck vagina is terrifying enough (Google it).
  3. Who is your dream dinner date and why?
The Dalai Lama. For reals. I love him. I am hugely impressionable and I think an hour in his company would have me believing I could change the world with compassion.
  4. What is your biggest fear?
I have a few: going bald, swimming with fish, my children getting hurt and fireworks.
  5. Where is your Dream holiday destination?
I am determined to snowboard in Japan at some point in the future.
  6. Where would you like to be in 5 years time?
    Snowboarding in Japan.
  7. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
That I haven’t snowboarded in Japan yet. Or my height as I am the same size as some children and it drives me cray.
  8. How would your friends describe you in one word?
  9. What would be your superpower if you could choose just one?
Telekinesis. Like Eleven from Stranger Things, but without the nosebleeds and shaved head (see no 4).
  10. What do you like to do for fun (when you get the time)?
Write, exercise, play hide and seek (I’m pretty good at it, on account of the shortness) and watch Peter Kay’s Car Share.
  11. What is your guilty pleasure?
Made in Chelsea. I get proper carried away with the storylines, much to the amusement of my husband who likes to remind me ‘it isn’t real!’ I don’t care. It’s ace.

I think I’m supposed to nominate others – which I will do with the caveat of ‘you don’t have to if you can’t be arsed’ and ‘soz if you’ve already done this.’

I nominate:

Mummy of Four –

Liberty on the Lighter Side –

The Mum Conundrum –

School Run Buddy –

Nicky wrote new questions as part of her nomination but I am so tired I’m typing with one eye closed and so if you can be arsed nominees, please use the questions above.
